Father Gregory “Greg” Joseph Boyle (1954) is an American Jesuit priest. He is the founder and Director of Homeboy Industries and the former pastor of Dolores Mission Church. Boyle earned his BA in English from Gonzaga University, an MA in English from Loyola Marymount University, a Master of Divinity from the Weston School of Theology, and a Sacred Theology Masters degree from the Jesuit School of Theology. In this unique video Fr. Greg addresses what community and kinship really look like, especially with the poor. This is a marvelous presentation for all missional-ecumenists. A friend who serves among the poor in Latin America has called my book “missional-eacumenism for those on the margins.” I wish that this had been clearer than it was when I actually wrote the book but it is now quite clear to me. Missional-ecumenism takes the church to the poor and the margins of society. I owe so much to so many for helping me grasp this truth but Pope Francis has helped me more powerfully than anyone. I now believe that a major part of my vision has to become this focus on the poor. http://youtu.be/ipR0kWt1Fkc
